Tesla Electric Planning
Planning a new solar installation requires a thorough initial analysis before you are ready to take the next step. Several factors need to be considered. For your convenience, we will briefly describe what you can expect once you are ready to turn your curiosity for solar energy into concrete action.
Before we send out our crew to do on-site analysis, we need your CORRECT ADDRESS and ANNUAL POWER USAGE in kWh. Using satellite imaging we can determine the size of the installation area, and in conjunction with annual power usage we can have a better idea of your eligibility.
Key Factors include:
Where you live
Different areas receive differing amounts of solar radiation. This is one of the most important factors when it comes to eligibility for solar panel installation. Not everyone qualifies for the installation. Before we can proceed further, we need to verify eligibility.
Roof size
How large of a system can your roof support? Is the roof in good condition? You may need to fix your roof before we come in and install the panels. This can add to overall cost of the installation and can be a determining factor whether the installation itself is feasible.
Roof Shading
How much of the roof is shaded by trees or other obstacles. With your approval, we may have to trim the surrounding trees to maximize sun exposure. However, partially shaded areas may work better with certain solar panels.
Roof Pitch
How sloped is the roof? This angle determines how much power the system can produce in a given year. During initial analysis, we will accurately measure the roof's pitch.
Roof Direction
Where are the roof(s) oriented towards? Ideally your roofs will be oriented towards South. However, this aspect will not affect your eligibility for the installation. It will affect the amount of power the system can produce on an annual basis.
Power Usage
How much power do you consume in a given year? This is another important input for your final proposal. Accurate information will give you a clear picture of how much money you can save over the years and the amount of payback. This percentage is averaging 180%. Power usage will also determine the number of years when you will break even, in other words - pay off the system and start saving even more.
